Time Away
It’s a while since I last blogged.
Many things have gone on.
Scara Brae, The Ring and Ness of Brodger, The Stones of Stenness, Maes of Howe and Cuween Hill chambered cairn while Orkney’s soft low land, cattle roamed, bulls majestic, immense, silent beasts. Sheep, numbers easily overwhelming the Orcadians. Pastoral, still the wool’s used in its browns, greys and creams. Surrounded by stone, Denise showed us her skill, the richness of the land reflected in the arans and double knit.
Joan Eardley’s, full of weather energy art, inspired at the Edinburgh National. Walking through the water of Leith, heat unusual, Gormley peeped above the ground at foot level, embodied and impervious. True high day holiday champagne in private Georgian crescent gardens care of air b n b.
Then there was the disco at the V&A Dundee, techno, late 70’s, laser lights, headphones dangled and dancing was had at last!

Greeted by an entirely impressive flight of the Golden Eagle, languid and perfect, challenging our fecklessness.
